If you’ve had the chance to visit Denver recently the one thing you will probably remember aside from the abundant cannabis retailers and incredible culture is all the locals complaining about how fast the city is growing. This is a controversial topic amongst longterm Denverites, and it certainly has been affecting the local population on many levels whether you are a newbie or full-blown native. One of the main logjams over the last couple years has been in the River North or RINO neighborhood, one of the cities coolest and most coveted hoods just outside the city center. The RiNo Arts District as it’s more formally known is a haven for bearded hipsters, food nerds, beer fanatics, art fans and all things cool — it’s as if Williamsburg moved to Denver to some degree. The one thing that’s not cool has been the insane construction and pulverizing of the areas main thoroughfares like Brighton Blvd., which has been under construction forever it seems for most locals. The good news is that this part of the uber super build up of Denver is about to be complete and there is going to be a party to celebrate this June. More info below —
